Cander.io App

Cander is a social and dating app project that connects users through games & personality. (Mobile App | Brand | Product Design & Management.) Project led to organic 500k impressions- 10,000+ sign-ups. 100+ friendships, 4 couples, and 2 marriages. App launched at top 10 on IOS & Android chart.

Cander is conceptualised based on the insight that playing games as a mechanic can drive genuine human connections and would be a good application for dating & social connections.

  • Led end-to-end product development — from ideation and user research to design, MVP scoping, and feature roadmap planning.
  • Defined product vision and positioning around fun & playful interactions in matchmaking, differentiating the app in a saturated market.
  • Collaborated with developers and creatives to manage app delivery across iOS and Android, launching to top 10 in Singapore app store charts (Number 1 in Google Play dating apps category & Number 5 on App store).
  • Led organic launch campaign resulting in 500K+ impressions, 14,000+ sign-ups, 100+ friendships, 4 couples, and 2 marriages.
  • Continuously iterated based on user feedback, metrics, and community stories to improve onboarding, in-app engagement, and UX.
